Grant Process

Since 2010 the Morrison Center Endowment Foundation has provided over $7.5 million in funding to performing arts groups for events performed in Idaho's Treasure Valley.

To qualify for a grant from the Morrison Center Endowment Foundation, your organization must be a Treasure Valley non-profit performing arts group whose production will be performed in a Treasure Valley theater within two years of applying.

We define theater as a structure that contains rows of permanent seating before a stage area where a performance is given to an audience. An event is used to denote an entire production, for example the entire run of the Nutcracker. While a show is used to denote one showing of the event, for example the Saturday matinee of the Nutcracker.

The MCEF granting process is a two step procedure:

1. Grant Award: Applications are accepted in two grant cycles. The applications are due at 11:59pm on June 30th and December 31st of each year. Our team will review your application and send you a letter stating the maximum amount we will fund your event.

2. Grant Payment: Once you have received a grant award and your event has been completed, fill out a Post-Production Worksheet to receive payment.

Please be patient with us. We are changing our granting software which is causing some grant processing delays. The Grant Application is available but the Post-Production Worksheet portal is still down right. Since this is a new system, let us know if you are experiencing difficulties with the Application.

If you have questions with either the application or the worksheet please email us at grants@morrisonendowment.org

The link below will take you to our online application site. This site will only be open from May 15 to June 30 and for this round only December 1 to December 31. If  you would like a preview of the application click the link to our PDF or Word example.

Once the application period closes, our grant committee will review your request and send you an email notification of the amount you were awarded. However, the award payment will only be made upon the completion of the event and only for the amount actually spent. To receive award payment, please fill out our Post-Production Worksheet link on the right.

Fill out the Post-Production Worksheet only after the completion of an event for which you received a grant award. We ask that you return your request within three months of the event. If you need more time, please contact us.

This worksheet is currently unavailable. We hope to have the Post-Production Worksheet available by December 15. Contact grants@morrisonendowment.org if you need to submit a payment request.

If you would like to prepare before beginning your request, you can download the PDF or Word example of the worksheet.
